The official planning application has been submitted to Midlothian Council and is open for comments by the public until about 21st August – though they say they could accept comments beyond that, depending on when the case officer writes the report. But to be certain, it is best to get your comments in by 21st August.
UPDATE 19/08/2015: The papers for next week’s Planning Committee meeting indicate that the Council is not expecting the Middleton Quarry in-fill application to go before the Committee until its 17th November meeting. So if you still haven’t made a comment and would like to, it is still worth while doing it.

- on the comments page, either login or register if you have not already registered on the planning site before.
- when you have logged in,
- check your personal details are correct (not shown here but they are in this section between the application details and the box for your comment. Your personal details are never shown to the public although your comments will be added to the information about the planning application in due course.
- confirm your commenter type (madam, sir or both) and your stance (object, support or neutral) and write your comment. Click the small box if you want to receive an email copy of your comments. Then click submit at the bottom of the page.
