Micro Grants

Moorfoot-Grants-LogoDo you run a small group or club in the Moorfoot Community Council Area?

Do you need funding for a small project?

Moorfoot Community Council can now offer small grants to help you.

Moorfoot Community Council Micro-Grants are awarded 3 times yearly to groups in the Moorfoot area to benefit the Moorfoot Community. These grants are intended to help small projects that would not be able to qualify for grant programmes such as the Carcant Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

The process has been kept simple to reduce the administration involved – we just need to know what you want to do and who will benefit! Initially the grants are funded by the Community Council’s own reserves, but in future funds are likely to be further supported by the Carcant Wind Farm fund itself.

If you organise a club or community group in Moorfoot and have a project in mind, get in touch

Simple rules:

  • Application deadlines 1st January, 1st May and 1st September
  • Decision following month
  • Min Grant £40, Max grant £150, no match funding requirement
  • Maximum project cost £300 – grants are not provided to support larger projects
  • Must be primarily for the benefit of Moorfoot residents
