Current Constitution

The current constitution was adopted and approved by Midlothian Council in 2011. This was a minor amendment to the previous constitution which had been in existence since 1976.

Constitution updates were required as it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain an adequate representative membership which allowed Moorfoot Community Council to meet the quorum requirements for meetings. This was due in part to the impact of elements which flowed from the Midlothian Scheme (1976).
